Which investing strategy and style Is right for me?

Hi WSO,

How do I choose the right hedge fund strategy? How to find which hedge fund strategies best align with your investment style? I am a math major at university with a 3.96 gpa. I want to get into finance but do not want to become a specialized quant who just crunches numbers. I have read some investing books. But I do not want to pursue a career in a value HF or other long equity related funds. I have a high risk tolerance and I am more interested in Short-Term Investments. Which investing strategy and style Is right for me? Can anyone recommend a good book on the topic?

“He was very responsive and prepared for the meeting. He actually read the JD, resume, and looked up linkedin which sometimes other mentors doesn't actually go over those to prepare things beforehand. I appreciate his direct comments I think it saved time and actually helped me to know exactly where to improve. I also appreciated him admitting if he doesn't know about specific HF strategy. Only thing I'd suggest for him is probably sending actionable key takeaways after the meeting because other mentors did and that was very helpful. ”
