Which is Better for HF?

What will give someone the best options post Master's degree:

A finance education focusing on portfolio management, investments, derivatives etc (Just finance)

or

An Information Systems education (SQL, Java, Data Mining, Etc) with an investments class. I know that finance is getting more technical and I am considering this road.

The end goal is working at a Hedge Fund in an Investment Analyst role. I would like to hear from people who either know a lot of people who go into hedge fund roles or are in them currently.

*Also, what is a good role (Not IBD Analyst) and good companies to start at? I would prefer to work at a Global Macro fund, but I am not picky. 1 year of full time work experience. I am trying to figure out whats the next move.

Information Systems? That shit is for network and database admins.

Computer science, engineering, math degrees, etc would be solid combined with finance courses to show interest.
