Which is the best path to a hedge fund?
I currently work at a LMM private equity / credit firm. I’d love to make it to a HF longer term. I mainly just find the deal process boring that comes with private markets. I have had discussions for the following roles—which would be better to eventually land at a hedge fund:
- Stay at current LMM private equity firm
- IB associate
- Sell side equity research at highly ranked team/firm
For context, I have a H/S/W MBA and worked in structuring roles pre-MBA
