Which work experience is better for buy side?

I'll be attending Rutgers Business School next year and although I have declared as an accounting major, I may switch to finance after I take a couple classes of each. I think AM or eventually HF/PE is what I'm more interested in, but I am interested in both accounting and finance.

On the other hand the best internship I could hope for with accounting is Big 4, while it is possible to get an internship at the bulge bracket for finance majors at Rutgers. More realistic would probably be at a PWM firm.

So the question is whether Big 4 or financial planning/wealth management experience is better.

Thanks
