Would pursuing a phd while working in ER help me in my career?
Hello Guys!
Long story short, I got my undergrad premed and finance and got another masters in finance. Work in sell side ER Healthcare rn, 100% remote. I love science and working in a lab, do you think if I pursue a phd in molecular bio or biochemistry that this would be a waste? My goal would be to go into some buyside role, preferably a hf in biotech/healthcare or what not. 4-5 years to complete, while working ER? or would it be better to bag it and just go into IB healthcare.
Would appreciate the advice.
This has been asked before. If you are getting a PhD with a clear motive for the money (ie. buyside), you are not going to make it through the PhD because all the work, research, publication, etc.
