Would you take a position at a fundamental HF out of undergrad?
If the firm has been around for 10+ years and manages ~2-4B AUM, would you go to the HF or follow the traditional route? I'm in this boat and am uncertain because I feel as though I might fuck up and then have nowhere to go after (HF is usually the exit).
I can alternatively go into IB and do the traditional path which might prepare me more. It should all comes down to if I'm ready or not, but even though I think I'll do alright in the role I still need to account for this risk and am rightfully worried about my future.
