Youngest people you’ve seen start funds?

Just curious. I know a kid out of undergrad who manages like $5m (professors mostly, family is poor). Hayden Capital is another one, pretty sure the founder started that when he was in his mid 20’s.

Bay Area tech ppl (incl. the Stripe guy and others) wrote him a massive check to go giga-long AI beneficiaries.

$5m is a great amount to start with!! Plenty of funds start with very little capital. I'd kill to have another $5m to manage at my fund. 1-2% on $5m is $50-100k in base fees, add performance on to that and that could be $150ish!

No, plenty of funds 30+ years ago started with very little capital. The market is a completely different universe now.
