From BlackRock to São Paulo: A Researcher's Perspective

Hello WSO community.

I am Radames Belfort. After years working in the US financial sector, including time at BlackRock, and conducting academic research at institutions like UIUC and NYU, I have returned to my native Brazil.

My primary focus is on the intersection of asset pricing and market microstructure. I am currently based in São Paulo, working on research that applies rigorous risk constraints to crypto asset spot markets. I am also in the process of establishing an investment firm and a charitable foundation, scheduled for 2026.

I look forward to discussing topics related to order book depth, liquidity adjustments, and the evolving financial landscape in Latin America with this community.
