Your immigration attorney should be able to inform you about current backlogs for the E3 visa. As far as I know they are not the highest priority, but they are being worked on. It would depend on a lot more things, of course (embassy filing vs. NVC and more).

Look into the various data sources for this, i.e. The Visa Bulletin from the State Department.

Yes, I disclosed I needed one.

I know RBC is hiring despite this because theres a few ways to get past the wait (premium processing, interviewing with the consulate in a country outside of Australia) but yeah it is a bit of a bummer!
