1st Year Analyst Messing Up

I'm hitting my year-end and I recently have been making a lot of mistakes with one of my MDs and very simple mistakes like forgetting to flag certain things, spelling, etc. I recently have been jammed up with a lot of work so I've been rushing on a lot of my work and I think that's why I'm making so many mistakes. I don't want the MD to look poorly at me and wanted to get people's opinions on whether I should write an apology email to them or if its too late?

First year analysts are suppose to mess up on generic things that you need to learn. Making the same mistakes or clerical mistakes any day one should know isn’t apart of that though.

Going forward reread everything you send out. Take a 2 minute walk down the floor and back to your desk and read what you just typed up. If you’re losing focus do the same thing, drink some water and reset.

For an apology, just produce better work and allow that to speak for yourself.
