2019 Full Time Analyst
Currently doing a summer analyst position at PE firm. Not sure what my chances are looking like for a full time offer or if I'd accept the offer based off of company culture. If, for whatever reason, I go through IB full time recruiting again, I want to get a feel for my chances.
I attend a west coast, semi-target for west coast banks (LA or SF) with a 3.4 GPA. What would my chances be for a BB or EB, and what steps should I be taking now to increase my chances? Thanks
Network your ass off, but expect that a MM/boutique will likely be where you land. Spend some time there, get a little deal experience, then lateral over.
Thanks for the reply. Does full time networking differ from summer analyst networking, if so in what ways?
I have an in at a bank that has told me to send them my resume. however, i'm too scared to send it because my gpa is sub 3.3 and it'll be embarrassing because he's sort of my friend... what should i do??
well tbh this is a silly question because u should already know the answer. your options are literally:
a) do nothing and have a 0% chance of breaking into that bank b) send it, risk the embarrassment, and have a non-zero chance of breaking into that bank
you tell me
