2021 SA drug tests
Has anyone been contacted regarding drug tests yet? I haven't heard anything and I stopped toking out of precaution but wondering if anyone has gotten tested yet or heard if they are going to be tested

They cancelled our drug tests last summer because of COVID, I would say if your internship is virtual its pretty unlikely you will be tested. My offer letter for FT mentioned a drug test, but a recent email from HR only said we had to do a background check (last year we got basically the same email but it specified background check and drug test). I honestly have no clue but I also stopped smoking just in case, its also worth noting that I think NYC banned testing for weed. I wouldn't count on that though since there are all sorts of loopholes that banks could qualify for.
So you're saying banks you believe your bank may give out a drug test say in June after you've already done the background test/onboarding?
Nope. If they are ever going to test you it will be before training at the same time as the background check. Once you have the job you don't need to worry about it unless you're showing up to work obviously baked and they can test for cause. I'm just playing it safe until the background check day comes in late May.
It's illegal in NYC...
Except there's a potential loophole for BBs since they work with the federal government. Unclear at best.
With there being so many threads every day why don't 2020 FT analysts or off cycle analysts that joined after May of 2020 just make a spreadsheet of whether or not they got tested.
