2026 IB Recruiting

Im currently a freshman at a barely-semi target school (SMU Cox). I know I need to network a ton to secure a spot for 2026, especially new york.

Does anyone recommend when I submit my application? After or before I have established my connections?

If anyone has general advice as well, please feel free to let me know.
