3 Questions

Posting these questions for friends... a few of them so I'll just laundry list. Some may have been asked I'll search in a bit.

1) How internally mobile are firms (in your experience) for SAs? If you summer in say healtcare/energy/TMT do you get locked out of M&A/Sponsors/Lev Fin role or is it easy to switch?

2) Does JD/MBA make a substantial difference in PE over just MBA to be worth the extra $90k + year of life?

3) Do F500s employ traders? Seems a lot of F500s these days are major holders of HY bonds, etc. If yes, how big are their trading arms? Does the Fed employ bond traders for open market operations?

1) I've seen people switch around but I think most tend to stay in groups they've had experience or summered in.

2) Don't know about the JD for PE. Buddy of mine did the JD/MBA and I feel like it gave him a leg up in getting a summer associate position at GS.

3) No idea.
