3.97 GPA rounding
My GPA is currently a 3.97, I know normal procedure is to round to 1 decimal point like 3.67 —> 3.7. This feels different though rounding up to a flat 4.0 when I don’t actually have a 4.0.
Obviously I know this has minimal consequences and either way it’s a good gpa, but just curious what thoughts on this are.
Normal procedure is to use 2 decimal places (to be safe). Secondly, writing 4.0 implies that you never got below an A, which is untrue even if you have a 3.99. So no.
just leave it at two decimal places.
