$500k for IBD first year analysts
Have heard a few boutiques (smaller with very strong deal flow) paid $500-750k for a first year analyst ($150 base and remainder YE bonus and then deal related), with $1+ million for associate promotion bonuses
anyone heard similar? This is not a bulge or evercore but smaller “elite” boutiques
No, I have not heard of anything remotely similar, and I go to a target that consistently lands people everywhere from Goldman to Bridgewater to Jane Street. The highest-paying firm I know of is Citadel, which gave a friend a ~$475K offer.
I know this is satire of the GS thread but I’ve heard Ducera/Q pay pretty well. Not $500k good though.
Ardea too
Yea one of my friends retired after his first yr bonus check cleared
This is true and isn’t just an issue for retention, but my shop is now actually majority controlled by analysts and associates after enough of the SBC vested. Looking to pick up another board seat next year too
I've heard some associates cleared a M in '21 at Q would not be surprised if analysts did 500 all in
Analysts get profit sharing as well?
.
Q?
 qatalyst
Even with these raises, analysts still can't afford to rent a 1 bedroom in NYC
Only at Evercore.
I don’t believe this nor do I blueberry some associates broke 1m this year as the jerk off above me indicated
That is so 2020. In 2023, banks will be paying INTERNS $500k just to have a chance to convert them to FT.
Do you think Tobin & Co. will start charging interns to participate in their internship?
Wtf
