6 Month Review: 1st Year Analyst
I have my six month review coming up (1st year Analyst). What should I expect from something like this? I'm really close with all of upper management, feel as though I'm well received, and that I do great work. What will they ask? I would think they would ask what I feel I'm doing well in, what I could improve upon, etc.
I believe the purpose of the review is to give me a raise, or at least it had been discussed.
Thanks in advance.
if you're in an open group, it's usually to discuss if you want to stay in ib for 2 years v go into pe. if not, it's just a status update on what you're doing right/wrong. cliche answer, but that's all it is.
as for the raise... everybody gets one from 1st to 2nd year obviously. but never heard of one in the middle of the year... if this is the case, hot shit. share your story. def like to hear.
Will do, I think that's just the way they do it around here....Anyone else with experiences with reviews?
the half year reviews at my firm are quick meetings with a superior where you are told where you stand. if there are more improvement areas over positive attributes then you have a lot of work to do to get a big bonus. there should be no surprises if your team is pretty open. if there are any surprises, i'd work on fixing that the most.
How do I answer: what specific changes/areas of improvement would you like to see from yourself before the next review?
This is sht you should be discussing with your staffer - not a forum
