Good to know for future reference that "destroyed" is a euphemism for "absorbed or acquired operations."

I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.

fuller definition would be absored or acquired operations and then turned it into even more of a shitshow.

it is so weird i cant find any info about its internship program or anything related to investment banking on their website....

i didn't even know ABN did investment banking doesn't it go by a different name now? or isn't it owned by someone else?

.

What is left is a rump in the Netherlands that probably does only local corporate finance work.

Historically ABN was a Tier 2 European player, much like BNP Paribas, Dresdner Kleinwort etc etc.

As in it was consumed by RBS pretty much, with some businesses going to Fortis. As an independent entity only a Dutch unit survives.

RBS and Fortis over-stretched, it was 2008, the rest is history...
