This is what happens when you run a PE firm like a family office. Everything from commingling funds to a complete lack of transparency created this shit storm of epic proportions.
Unfortunately, they worked on the best projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. Hopefully, another dominant player in that area emerges sooner or later.

Crazy how sloppy that is although I can see how it happen given how fast they scaled that business.

Really surprised, as I thought they were one of the best Middle-East PE funds out there. I even thought of applying there once. Curious to see who will take over the position.
I'll continue here because I don't want to open a new thread about Abraaj Capital. Does anyone who is following MENA scene have some info on Abraaj case? I am wondering if liquidation is over and if anyone from interested parties bought their assets? Any new players or spin-offs from ex-Abraaj guys ? Where is Naqvi ?
