Absurdly High Pay at CVP Nowadays?

I left CVP over a decade ago, but rumour on the street is that they're drowning in cash.

Analysts are raking in $470k+, not a single associate made below $920k and VPs average around $2.85MM. MDs range from $28-87MM.

Can anyone confirm this? These figures seem a bit high even for the ivory towers of CVP/PJT. The only possible explanation is if they started giving juniors a % of each deal they close, say VPs get 0.5 bps and average deal size 20bn, average 3 deals a year and thats 3mm already. If associates get 0.15 bps and analysts 0.075, that makes even more sense.
