Accepted an IB SA offer and starting to regret

I accepted an early SA offer (Only bank I have interviewed with) at a pretty good bank in a Non-NY office recently and am starting to regret not waiting to go through the entire recruiting process. I was given an extremely short time frame to accept and thought I would be content in just getting into banking and ending the stress of recruiting, but I now wish I would have waited to interview with all of the top BBs. Assuming I probably shouldn't continue recruiting in this city, would it be okay to recruit with the NY offices instead?

I think that's exactly what it is. I just feel like i didn't maximize my potential, and It's going to suck watching some of my less qualified friends potentially get "better" jobs just because they waited until fall.

You're in a great place - you said it yourself, the bank you're at is well regarded and I personally would prefer not to be in NYC. Tons of people would kill to be in your shoes and at the end of the day just focus on killing it in the summer getting that return offer. GS TMT -> MF isn't the only end goal, and people still place very well from MMs and lower BBs.

If an IB offer in "a non-NYC location" bothers you, then I'm guessing you don't have any real problems - be thankful OP and don't dwell on what you can't change. There are bigger issues in life than receiving a non-appealing IB offer (if such a thing exists)

Kangaroos are the only large animals to use hopping as a means of locomotion. The comfortable hopping speed for a red kangaroo is about 12–16 mph, but speeds of up to 43 mph can be attained over short distances, while it can sustain a speed of 25 mph for nearly 1.2 mi. This fast and energy-efficient method of travel has evolved because of the need to regularly cover large distances in search of food and water, rather than the need to escape predators. At slow speeds, it employs pentapedal locomotion, using its tail to form a tripod with its two forelimbs while bringing its hind feet forward.

Kangaroos are adept swimmers, and often flee into waterways if threatened by a predator. If pursued into the water, a kangaroo may use its forepaws to hold the predator underwater so as to drown it.

Yes it is okay to recruit, we bankers at non-NY offices want people who want to be here.

This post really grinds my gears. Define "pretty good bank" - do you mean a non-GS/MS/JPM BB? Boutique? Why did you apply for the job if you only wanted to be in NY? A lot of people apply that really want to be in my city for a variety of reasons, and the people who only pretend that they do in order to get an offer and later move to NY are unfairly taking a slot. I'm just trying to understand the mindset here.

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.

Read the post again. I took an offer really early and DO want to be in the city that I accepted in, but I feel that I should have waited and interviewed at more than just one bank. Since I accepted, I'm assuming it is too dangerous to try to keep recruiting in this city which is why I mentioned NY.
