Acquisition heavy FP&A role to lead into IB / PE?
I'm looking to move out of my current career, insurance underwriting, into IB or PE. I have had an IB interview at a small boutique firm and am waiting to have my 3rd interview. I'm on my way to the final round of an FP&A role for a small company ($30M in revenue) where there would be a lot of financial modeling experience I could gain but I would get a pay cut. My underwriting role didn't give me much financial modeling experience, it was D&O insurance which was very financial statement focused analysis. Does this kind of role reasonably lead into an IB or HF or PE role?
