Advice Wanted to Break into Banking During Fall Recruiting

Hey guys,

First time on the site and I really enjoy reading the forums. Anyways, I am a college junior who recently was interested to consulting now interested in banking and wanted to keep options open for next fall for recruiting as I learn more about it. I am going to start networking and I was wondering if anyone can give me advice on how to break into banking for fall recruiting when I did not get a banking internship for the summer. I am worried that I am far behind but I am really determined to spend the next few months to prepare for October.

I have a 3.7 GPA with a double major at a fairly target school (top 10-15). I did do an Asset Management internship the summer of my sophomore year at a BB, but I am doing a business analyst internship this summer for a Fortune 100 company because after I did not get my top few choices. I do not know much technical information about banking at all. I am somewhat into the markets but not really and am trying to read news everyday to brush up on it.

What books should I read? If I want a BB banking job next fall, is it possible? What else should I do besides networking? I am determined to get it done, but I do not know much about finance because my parents have no affiliation whatsoever with finance so I am on my own boat here.

Thanks so much for reading, and I appreciate everyone's times.

If you track my posts I have written a lot of about networking and breaking into finance . I wish I could be more help, but there has been a lot written on this topic already and I am tired.

The two questions where I posted a lot of information are called "What should I do this summer?" and "How to break into finance as a rising senior" Do a search on WSO for them. They are about 1-2 weeks old.
