AI - Underwriting & Future of RE
As I’m sure most of you know, there are a ton of startups and firms working on underwriting AI models, promising OMs -> underwritten models. In my personal opinion, these have some ways to go, but considering we are in the first mile of the AI arms race, I can only imagine the power of these tools will grow exponentially. What does this mean for the industry? Would be curious to hear how firms are implementing this, or how this impacts the broader industry.

In today’s environment it doesn’t even matter if underwriting is automated. All you do is come up with bullshit assumptions at the behest of your principals that allow you to pay exorbitant prices for mediocre assets.
