So many things wrong with this post. First, Allen & Company was never “bad”. They’re a very solid boutique shop with a focus on tech/media, and with a preference for staying discreet. They are the lead advisor to Time Warner on its sale to AT&T. Second, that website is a PWM firm called Allen and Company which happens to have the same name, if you bothered to pay any attention to detail.
Dara Khosrowshahi / Sun Valley Conference / if you want to be a tech banker, Allen & Co would be a great place to be especially at the senior level. Jamie Dimon’s daughter works there.
