Can anyone tell me about this sector? I would imagine that it could get grouped with natural resources or energy.. what banks are strong in the field?

I don't know how strong their are, but I know that Piper has a group in IB dedicated solely to the sector. I would guess other banks may start moving that direction as well, though. It's anyones guess in these market conditions.
