Alumni use to work at BB bank. Can he still refer my resume?

I'm currently a junior at a semi-target. I have an informational interview with an alumni who is currently in PE, but did his analyst stint a BB bank (GS/MS/JPM) two years ago. Do you know if he still has pull there? I don't know anyone at the bank he worked at prior. How would I approach seeing if he can push my resume? If not what should I do?

I know the bank he worked at doesn't recruit at our school and cant find any other alumni who worked at that bank.

He's not going to be able to take your resume and get you an interview. BUT, ask him if he can refer you to the associate/VP who is in charge of recruiting for the group. Since he's two years out theres a good chance your'e out of luck and he no longer knows who is in charge, but you never know. That's your best chance, getting a referral from him to talk to someone in the group...preferably someone with decision making power.
