Am I screwed for SA 2025?

I’m a sophomore with a 3.95 at a decent target (lower Ivy) with ok ECs/internships. In theory it seems like I should be fairly competitive for IB recruiting, but I only started really networking in the middle of last semester and it feels like everything has been going by very quickly.

I’ve gotten first rounds at a couple of solid places, but haven’t heard back for superdays and haven’t heard back from hirevue for a lot more places. I think my lack of networking kind of screwed me (never really talked to more than 1-2 people at any place) but is there still a chance for me to salvage this? How many/which places are still even early enough in their recruiting process where I could theoretically start networking now and end up getting a 1st round?

Don't count yourself out yet; SA recruiting doesn't end until November. It entirely depends on how wide you cast your net and how dedicated you are to break into banking. Regional boutiques (mixed bag but there are some solid ones) recruit over the summer. Bigger places like CIBC, 5/3, Citizens, Mizuho, Stephens start in May/June through August.

may be hard to go for a BB or EB atp, but if you really want to do banking, you will be able to recruit until around the fall. there's not much you can do rn other than network with regional banks and hope that one of them gives you a superday to showcase your abilities. either way, good luck dude
