AN1 to Associate in <2yrs (London)
Hi all,
Have you ever seen/heard Analysts getting fast tracked in London and doing only 1-1.5 years of Analyst before being promoted to Associate? I know many banks are now running 2yrs analyst cycles instead of 3 but wondered if you can further squeeze it
Which banks shortened analyst stints in the UK?
Know of a couple of analysts at PWP who got fast tracked into A2 (starting earlier in the year - say January/March - as A1 and were promoted to A2 in July)
know some guys at Nomura and RBC who got promoted to Associate in 1.5 years — reckon you have to be top performer
Echoing. Nomura definitely does early promos. You get put on an accelerated track so even after your Analyst stint you’re monitored for early promos. Only done for exceptional performers and it’s something they have done historically
i'm curious how recruiting for london is as an american is like. do they sponsor or is it just impossible? i'll be interning in london this summer (not ib or high fin) so i want to network in-person there and wondering if that will help my chances.
Do you go to a uk school?
