Analyst - Antares Capital

Hello - any comments on Antares Capital culture? Work environment? Analyst comps? Brand in the market? Exit ops?

also, it’s a bit confusing to me where they fit, is the analyst position considered an investment banking or private equity position ?

i have a strategy consulting background (2.5 years) and 7 years industry experience as an engineer… and a PhD … I am trying to understand what level I fit at …seems analyst is the lowest rank

I appreciate any input ! Thank you !

Brother. Not to be a dick but if you have a PHD you should be able to quickly answer these questions from a 30 minute, maybe even 30 second, google search. Antares is not a bank or a PE shop.

Antares is a private credit shop lending towards MM companies, typically for recaps or M&A. An analyst there is an entry level role after college. I would imagine the pay is a haircut to banking and PE.

Regarding exits I know two guys who made it to brand name MM banks. They did lateral in 2021 tho.
