Do firms bucket analysts for bonuses by group (TMT, HC, etc) or is it by analyst class as a whole? Thx

How would this be comparable though if you are only working with your groups analysts? You don’t know if they are better than other groups?
I mean sure, but I think you are correlating group success to analyst success which is not the case.
Staffer collects feedback across x parameters and then pitches this with seniors in your group to senior HR committee, whom will agree/challenge allocated bucket and jointly determine final bucket you are in for each parameter and then sum together
