Analyst Job Pending.. Don't just sit there.... HELP!!!!!

I am waiting to hear back from H.R. at an IB I had an interview with this past week for an entry level analyst job.

I interned there over the summer but I have heard multiple people are interviewing for the same job.

I recently obtained an email address of an analyst at this IB. Who helped me with a few projects over the summer.

He is in the same analyst group that I am applying for and I am wondering if it is worth shooting him an email to better my chances of getting the job..

If so .. what should I say?

All comments are greatly appreciated, Thanks!!!

You have to give them about a week. Give them about a week. In a week, follow up with your contact in HR. You will probably either hear good or bad news at that point.

Good news being: anything other than "You didn't get the job."

Make less douchey thread titles.

"For I am a sinner in the hands of an angry God. Bloody Mary full of vodka, blessed are you among cocktails. Pray for me now and at the hour of my death, which I hope is soon. Amen."

I would definitely contact the analyst and just be friendly. Indicate how much you want to be there and let him lead you to him asking if he can be any help.
