Analyst offer at BB with semi-relevant internship experience?
Just a bit of background info: I study Maths and Economics at LSE (UK target) and have done internships at Citi, HSBC and Ernst & Young (all in Hong Kong). I am also about to enter my final year.
However, all those experiences are only semi-relevant to where i want to end up which is an analyst position for sales and trading at preferably a BB. For the Citi and HSBC internship, i did it in wealth management so we do interact with financial products and the market, although from a different perspective.
My question is: should i go ahead and apply next year for an analyst position, or do a masters and apply for summer analyst position next summer (with hopes of converting it to full time).
The reason i am saying this is because i know a lot of analysts at BB S&T get their offers through the summer analyst programme and so i don't want the risk of not ending up with anything.
FYI, i will apply to Hong Kong positions as i think it would be difficult for me to get a working Visa elsewhere. Any advice is appreciated
