Analyst to Associate Inquiry
When you've done you're 2/3 years as an analyst and it's time for the associate promote, curious to hear a few things:
-
what % of class (after PE guys leave) gets the promote?
-
if you don't leave, and you're middle/top bucket, that means auto associate promote after the 2/3 years?
-
do they typically tell you at your performance review or when do they tell you you're moving up?
Bump
I’m a product guy so can’t comment on PE, but from my observation it is very, very hard to not get an A2A offer.
Bumping Bumping Bumping that boy up to something
It depends on the bank and group. My group it is top 20% get the A2A promote but another group in my bank promoted top 50%. We were told at during our performance review if we were on track to get the promotion so you have an idea before it is time to get the promotion.
you mean 20% after 2 years the rest after 3?(those who stayed/didn't get canned)
Yes for my group it is hard to get the A2A promote which is abnormal since other groups hand it out to anybody who stays. Analysts in my group leave to PE after 2 years so there isn't a huge fuss.
Is PE possible shortly after the A2A promote, leaving as a first year associate
