Annual Leave in UK - how many days?
Hi Monkeys,
How many days off do you get officially in your employment contract in the UK?
I know that theoretical UK minimum annual leave is 28 days per annum, but my BB contract mentions 23 (still would be amazing to use all of them!). Curious to hear how it is at other banks.
The 28 days by law can include bank holidays which is what many banks do. So you have 23+8 days (23+9 this year due to coronation) including bank holidays.
I also get 23.
Most I've ever been given at any firm was 30 days. Was also finance but was not a BB bank or anything.
I'm at a MM / UMM (think HL / Daiwa / RBC / Nomura / Jeff / etc.) and I have 26
Thought the legal number was 25+ bank holidays?
Some banks will also add some days with tenure (after 3+ years)
25 + bank holidays at my BB
Our UK colleagues get 25 days plus bank holidays and special royal holidays (especially last year and this year)
