Any Color on Equity Syndicate? Exits?
There’s plenty threads on ECM, Equity Trading and Equity Sales, but any info or people out there with experience on an Equity Syndicate desk?
Seems like the cushiest IB spot (correct me if wrong) with IB level pay. Obviously exits aren’t as plentiful as M&A but are they at least as plentiful or more than ECM/DCM origination desks? Are there career opportunities after syndicate or is this a role to really be more of a lifer spot with great pay/WLB?
Equity syndicate is part of ECM. 0 exit opps except for other syndicate desks and it's a lot of being on the phone all day. Potentially the cushiest gig in IB but hours can suck sometimes. They don't touch excel or ppt
