JMP Securities Lane Berry Thomas Weisel Brown Gibbons Lang
I tried the search function and it wasn't helpful. Their websites are fine. I was wondering if anyone has ever worked with any of these firms or know anything about their culture, comp, etc.

Thomas Weisel is the only somewhat prominent name on that list. They focus on growth companies and do a lot of capital raising. I think the culture there for the most part sucks. I know a few people that've worked there and I've personally been there. JMP is respectable in California. Never heard of the other two.

Certainly heard of Thomas Weisel. Liquid1 is right about their focus. I know a couple of people who have worked there and they think the culture is pretty good. I know they brought Crocs public, but the vast majority of their work is TMT.

I think the other places you mentioned you confused with tailors.

Thomas Weisel has been struggling lately. Take a look at their latest 10-k. I think last year Mr. Thomas Weisel made a bonus of about 200k because the firm wasn't profitable. If you don't have any other choice, people certainly know the name... the pay just might not be there.
