Any Interns Feel They Got Screwed This Summer?
Just what title says. Any of you feel that you worked hard, performed well, were led to believe all was good -- but then things turned out bad?

Yeah, half the mfs at Jefferies
Yeah pretty much, never thought this would happen fuck this world
Just hang in there, and keep networking/applying. If you got a role this summer, you have what it takes to get another one next summer or FT. Just have to be patient and wait for more opportunities to pop up.
Unfortunate, but it’s a little taste of reality. There’s a lot of risk in this industry
Absolutely. Fuck covid and fuck the firm for leading the interns on. I want to be optimistic like the above poster but truth is there is zero structure to ft recruiting and contacts I’ve talked to just treat you like trash once they find out you have no offer, even if it is a result of the pandemic. Not sure what others with no offers are doing but I’ve applied to multiple listings at this point and hate the uncertainty and sitting around waiting for the 1% chance that we hear good news
