Previously posted about my dilemma. Recent grad 2 months ago from a target school. Interned at an okay IB during my junior year summer (think TD Securities, CIBC, HSBC). 3.5 GPA. Didn't get an offer during the summer, and copped out for FT recruiting. Been recruiting since graduating, had 3 interviews in the past 2.5 months at 3 boutiques, made it to last rounds for 2 of them, but didn't get it as they were looking for more experienced hires with 1 yr IB experience.
As I continue to recruit for a true full time position, I am looking for some sort of part-time analyst work at a reputable MM or Boutique. So I can keep busy, and also gain some more experience. I am not located in NYC, so I prefer if it was a paid position, even if it was minimum wage I would be happy, as I need some cash flow to cover rent + expenses.
Has anyone done this before? How do I go about finding some kind of position like this? I am indifferent about location, but would prefer NYC if possible.
What are some examples of firms who hire part time analysts?
*Edit --> If I can work remotely at home, without having to relocate I would be happy to work for free. If I have to relocate, I prefer at least some cash flow.
