Anyone else feel like they can’t catch a break?
MBA associate - joined during the pandemic and got absolutely crushed at my first shop while trying to learn a new job from my bedroom. Lateraled after a year.
Now I’m finally starting to get ahold of things and we’re downsizing. Those who are still around are stuck with shitty bonuses, terrible hiring market, and ridiculous pitches that go nowhere.
I know there are people who have it worse, and in the grand scheme of things I’m lucky. Just wanted to rant for a second. Not sure if banking was the right move after all.
It's a tough market man. You'll be fine in the long run, but this is part of banking. Not every year is 2021.
