Anyone recently received TN for finance role under Economist category?

Hi everyone,

I recently received a job offer for a project finance role in NY. I am aware that economist category doesn't really qualify after 2017 memo, but this is still the most relevant to the role. I cant do accounting/math etc since my bachelor is in engineering and then received an MBA in finance - all are accepted by border officers before.

Also, this would be my 3rd TN visa application in last ~1 year. I am currently working as mgmt consultant in NY on a TN visa. Would that also be a red flag besides applying under Eco category?

Any comments/suggestions/prior use cases are welcome!

Thank you so much!

Can’t provide any insight but damn is it hard to be a visa holder. You gotta get the job, prove you are worth the hassle from the HR side for a visa, and you still might not get the visa after all of that. Makes me thankful for getting my citizenship here. I hope it works out for you, consider talking with an immigration lawyer many of them will do consults for free or take you on pro-bono. I used it to get my grandparents a green card and they really helped a lot, probably more than most could here. Good luck again.

My bad I dint provide full info. I was not denied before. Both of my earlier TNs were approved, but they were in different categories than Economist.

I was wondering if going for 3rd TN in 3rd category in ~ a year would also be a red flag, but your response is a relief.
