Anyone work in Irvine/OC/Newport Area? How's it like? Worklife, lifestyle, etc.. I know it doesnt compare to NYC or even LA/SF, but any thoughts?

Make sure you research the cost of living before moving there. Between CA taxes and ridiculous rents, it's hard to make a budget work in that area.
PIMCO is out there, which is more or less the biggest bond manager in the world. Very competitive to get a job there, but lifestyle is probably solid.
Any reason as to why not LA? Many many more opportunities in finance there.
