Apply BEFORE or AFTER Fall Grades?
Should I apply to SA positions before or after my fall grades are posted? I know I did TERRIBLY this semester, so I guess it would be in my interest to apply before I get my grades, with what is now a decent GPA?

You guys know how on many of these BB's websites it is "optional" to submit a transcript, but required to submit a resume. Would you submit a transcript? Mine's not outstanding by any means. I have MD's pushing my application if that matters.
I've read that nobody looks at the online portal applications, and that it's only used when it comes time for background checks (this is all assuming that your school has an OCR). Thus, I figure that it can only hurt you to submit a lackluster transcript when it most likely won't get looked at in the first place.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong - would love to know as well.

I feel the same way. I want to avoid people looking at my transcript at all costs. I think applying on the BB's website is just a formality--the docs you submit on OCR school's website are what really matters. Any, fortunately, sometimes the school's systems don't even ask for a transcript (GS, for example, doesn't at my school).
Autoding at my BB if you don't include your latest grades. OCR's due second week of Jan and we time it that way because all of our targets have their grades for the semester out by then
