Applying for SA with a placement year

Hi there, guys. I'm not sure if this is a stupid question or not, but right now I am going into year 2, on a 4-year course. I have a placement in the 3rd year of this course, and I am not sure if I am eligible to apply for 2026 SA jobs, considering that I will be graduating in 2028. I don't know if the penultimate year of my course has to be an academic one or an industrial placement.

Placement years are not guaranteed, so you can still apply to summers (make sure you change your graduation date on your CV). But you can, and probably should, apply to both.

I mean it makes sense, but what if I get accepted to both of them? Do I have to choose one, or can I just attend both (assuming that the SA job ends in September and then I start the placement year)
