Applying for S&T, M&A Banking, & CRM at the same bank.

My college has on campus recruiting from a particular bank. I want to maximize my shot for an SA job at any of these positions.

Would it look bad if I applied to all 3? I'd have to right a cover letter for each. It would feel weird saying, I want to do S&T blah blah blah, then in the next one say i want to do banking.

everyone at my school did this when BAC came and it didn't seem to hurt anyone. i only applied to IBD because of the same logic. if i were a recruiter, i'd think it two faced to say all that stuff then turn around and say something else in another cover letter but whatever. my guess is that the integration problems led to the different divisions not talking to each other about candidates but who knows.

Two options. One, you can apply to all of them, just make sure during interviews you have a detailed response why you want that exact arm. In your cover letters, make sure you don't say something like "S&T is exactly what I want to do" because your IBD & CRM interviews will ask you about it.

In the companies I interviewed for who had multiple positions every company asked me whether I was applying to each side. I chose the second option, which was to consider which job was best for me, that gave me the best shot, and apply only to that one. Not only did it give me more interview prep time, when they asked me the question, I sound much more credible when I tell them that their division is the one that fits me best.
