Asked to be considered for any desk if no headcount
Completed my internship
Strong reviews, really wanted to go back to the desk I was on
Headcount wasn't guaranteed but team was super friendly and work was top bucket
I said to the team I would join them over any other team (very niche) but if no headcount, would be great if the team supported me to stay for FT anywhere on the floor they see fit.
Reached out to desk after internship ended and no replies yet.
Could the team say no to me despite me wanting to come back strongly because I asked if they would support me in finding a desk elsewhere, if no headcount exists?
Might be overthinking it but want to hear thoughts

You asking them this after a summer of good work/rapport with the team would not be the reason why they haven’t replied.
Sounds like it might be a headcount issue unfortunately but I would follow up again with them.
