Asking about Start Date
So I've landed an IB full time position for next year. They originally told me that they weren't sure about my start date (gave me a tentative date) and would have to get back to me about it. It's been over a month since I signed,etc and I would like to start planning my flight/apartment/etc. Is it cool to email them and ask if they've decided on the start date, or should I wait for them to get back to me?
Of course. It's been a month. You should definitely reach out and ask. If you're going to be a part of their team, they should be more than willing to help you out.
