Asking Boss for Recruiting Help
I am currently at a boutique IBank and my MD knows a guy who is very well connected at Canaccord.
I was wondering if it was a good idea for me to ask my MD to help me develop relationships with the Canaccord guys. The idea is that my MD is good friends with Guy X, who is good friends with many Canaccord guys. So, my MD could talk to Guy X who could warm intro me to the Canaccord guys.
For context, my MD told me that he wants to help me get a good experience this summer that I can leverage to get offers at bigger banks in the future.
Any advice is appreciated.
