It's that time of the year - what are the numbers being reported out there?
I heard BAML paid first year associates $70k; not stub but full year. I know BAML has had their fair share of legal fees this year but this seems extremely low. Has anyone else reported? Curious to hear how this year shakes out.
Also heard that Barclays is reporting layoffs in their IBD department so assuming bonuses won't be great. I will post any additional numbers I hear.

No numbers, but can say that at Goldman (at least the guys I know there) associated bonuses were right in line with expectations. Not overly happy, but a year over year increase and consistent with last year's numbers for the same level
MS all in comp.
A1: 230-280 A2: 280-340 A3: 400-440
This also shows how much more top bucket can get over bottom.

Assuming associates get bumped to $150k when they become A1, the all in range you provided seems low to me -- $80k for bottom bucket is like top bucket of a first year analyst?? not sure it makes sense; and top bucket A1 bonus would not even be 100% of base?? also seems odd

They partially cut bonuses in light of the increase in salary. The old percentages we based our thoughts on arent relevant at the current time.

Since the base salary increase just kicked in at most banks, I'm assuming the bonus figures that were announced were based on the lower base salary amounts (which in theory shouldn't change the all-in comp...)
But based on that, the A1 $70k BAML figure doesn't sound correct...
Hearing mostly street numbers and that if bonuses are now 80% instead of 100% then that's because base salary may be $140k instead of $125k...so still about the same. Though, generally, I'm hearing overall pay should continue going down for the next few years, but only by 1-3% and perhaps stabilize after that.
2014 comp numbers for class of 2013 associates: Bonus: $60 - $160, median: $100; >=$100: 75% upfront cash, 12.5% deferred cash, 12.5% restricted stock Base: $120 in 2014; 2015 base bumped up from $120 to $175 (typical bump would have been to $140 but base comp for associates went up by 25% across the street). Total comp: $180 - $280, median: $220

Can confirm BAML was dramatically below street for all associate class years.
Know two people at BAML. One got 210 and the other 230. Pretty shitty year.
Do you know why BAML had such a shitty year? Someone here said they paid the highest bonuses last year for analysts
I'm guessing because of their massive fines. I'd be doubtful that they pay that bad next year though. Lost a lot of senior people (esp. in healthcare).
So what are bases for Associate0's, A1's, A2's and A3's for 2015? $140, 150, 175, 200K? Signing bonus for A0 in the $40-60K range? Stub for A0? BB's have stepped up bases but curious if the MM's have as well. Thanks
Isn't A0 base ~125K? @IBanker888" I think your scale is off by one year and that A1s get ~140. Def. more confident about the A0 base for BB being at 125K based on an offer after wrapping up my summer at a BB.
Not sure it's universal but I know that at MS it's 125K for A0, bump to 150K for A1 that January, and bump to 175K for A2. My understanding is that A3 is 200K.
I also have it on pretty good authority that 2014 stub bonuses at MS were 30K and that 2014 A1 bonuses at MS had a median of around 100-110K, dipping as low as 80K and as high as 150K.
Given that raises came halfway through 2014, you can think about total comp however you want, but if you just consider the base as 150K, then A1 total comp of around 230-300K is about what I've heard. Obviously CountryUnderdog's numbers are slightly different, but the gist is the same - the majority of people got around 100-110 of bonus in A1, meaning 250K-260K. The very top bucket is basically irrelevant to all but a couple of people in a given year at a given bank anyway.
Any idea what new bases are for VP 1, 2 and 3s? Also, director / Md base?
