Associate review impact

How much can 1 associates opinion impact your bucket tiering as an analyst? I have one associate that I feel like always gives me a hard time / we just don't get along great. He always grills me on reviews and will give a ridiculous amount of unnecessary nit comments on simple internal stuff to make me feel like I did bad work. I get along great with the rest of the team and thought I am on good track for top bucket, but am worried about a strained relationship with this one associate dropping my rank. For reference, I've worked directly with VPs and even a couple of directors who from what I have heard, speak highly of me.

It could bring you down depending on what they say. It’s still an overall evaluation, so if you have a majority of good reviews it won’t hurt you. Also, if the associate is tough on other analysts it will make them look like they’re just critical on everyone and won’t hurt your review. Try not to take it personally, they probably just want you up to their speed, but lack the patience.
